联合国训练和研究所（United Nations Institute for Training and Research – UNITAR），为联合国大会直属的最高级别事务执行机构 ，于1963年成立，总部位于瑞士日内瓦。联合国训练研究所繁荣联盟上海中心（UNITAR PROSPERITY ALLIANCE SHANGHAI，UNITAR PAS），是由联合国训练研究所授权，与上海气候周共同成立的，位于中国上海市的正式项目机构名称。UNITAR PAS旨在开发和提供能力建设活动，并在中国加强合作伙伴关系。繁荣联盟上海是更广泛的繁荣联盟的一部分，旨在受益于繁荣联盟提供的专业知识、资源和合作机会。
The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), as the highest-level executive body directly under the United Nations General Assembly, was established in 1963 and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The United Nations Institute for Training and Research Prosperity Alliance Shanghai (UNITAR PAS) is an official project organization established in Shanghai, China, under the authorization of UNITAR and in collaboration with Shanghai Climate Week. UNITAR PAS aims to develop and deliver capacity-building activities and strengthen partnerships in China. As part of the broader Prosperity Alliance, the Shanghai center is designed to benefit from the expertise, resources, and collaborative opportunities provided by the Alliance.

The activities of UNITAR PAS particularly target local, regional, and national authorities in China, as well as representatives of international organizations, civil society organizations, private companies, and academic institutions. The capacity development programs of UNITAR PAS are designed to offer a range of learning opportunities, facilitate knowledge sharing between China and the world, and contribute to enhanced capacity building, improved decision-making processes, and the promotion of sustainable economic development.
